The Contest is open to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry.

Employees, representatives, agents and directors of the Organizer, as well as any person directly involved in the organization, administration or promotion of the Contest, are not eligible to enter.

Immediate family members of such persons, as well as persons residing at the same address, are also not eligible.

The Organizer reserves the right to request proof of identity, age or residence in order to confirm an entrant’s eligibility.

3. How to Enter

No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest.

To enter during the Contest Period:

  1. Visit the official Contest page at:
    https://labelleexcuse.com/pages/concours

  2. Complete the entry form by providing the requested information;

  3. Submit the form before the end of the Contest Period.

Only one (1) entry per person is permitted during the entire Contest Period.

Any entry that is incomplete, fraudulent, automated, submitted using multiple identities or email addresses, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules may be voided by the Organizer.

3.1 Grand Prize

One (1) grand prize will be awarded from among all eligible entries received.

The grand prize consists of a trip to Greece for two (2) people, with a total approximate value of CAD $10,000.

The prize includes:

  • a travel credit of up to CAD $5,000 with Agence Nouveau Monde de Joliette, applicable toward the cost of air transportation to Greece;

  • seven (7) nights in a villa in Greece, with an approximate value of CAD $5,000;

  • an experience in the heart of La Belle Excuse’s family olive groves in the Peloponnese;

  • a tour of La Belle Excuse’s facilities and olive oil press;

  • a meal at the farm.

3.2 Travel Credit

The winner must book their airline tickets directly through Agence Nouveau Monde de Joliette, in accordance with the agency’s applicable terms and conditions.

The travel credit has a maximum total value of CAD $5,000, regardless of the number of travellers. It has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

If the cost of the airline tickets exceeds the CAD $5,000 travel credit, the winner will be solely responsible for paying the difference.

Air transportation costs for additional guests are not eligible for any additional credit. The Organizer’s maximum contribution remains CAD $5,000 in total.

3.3 Villa and Additional Guests

The grand prize is awarded to the winner and one (1) guest.

However, the villa can accommodate up to six (6) people in total. The winner may therefore, if they wish, invite up to four (4) additional guests to stay at the villa at no additional accommodation cost, subject to the villa’s maximum capacity and applicable conditions.

The tours, experiences and farm meal included in the prize may also be provided for up to six (6) people in total.

Air transportation, local transportation and all other expenses for additional guests remain their responsibility, except for those expressly stated as being included in the prize.

3.4 Prize Value

The total approximate value of the prize is CAD $10,000, consisting of a travel credit of up to CAD $5,000 and accommodation with an approximate value of CAD $5,000.

The tours, experiences and farm meal described above are also included in the prize.

The actual value of the prize may vary depending on factors including the selected dates, transportation fares and the value of the services at the time of the trip. No compensation will be provided if the actual value of the prize is less than the approximate value advertised.

5. Expenses Not Included

Except for the CAD $5,000 travel credit, accommodation and experiences expressly stated as being part of the grand prize, all other costs and expenses associated with the trip are the responsibility of the winner, their guest and, where applicable, any additional guests.

These include, without limitation:

  • any portion of the cost of airline tickets exceeding the CAD $5,000 travel credit;

  • air transportation costs for additional guests;

  • meals and beverages not expressly included in the prize;

  • all ground transportation and travel within Greece;

  • transfers between airports and the villa;

  • vehicle rental, if applicable;

  • fuel, toll and parking expenses;

  • baggage fees;

  • travel insurance;

  • costs related to obtaining or renewing a passport;

  • visas, authorizations or other travel documents, where applicable;

  • gratuities;

  • personal expenses;

  • activities or excursions not expressly included in the prize;

  • taxes, fees, surcharges or other expenses not expressly stated as being included.

6. Travel Dates and Booking

The winner must provide La Belle Excuse with their preferred travel dates and book their stay within twelve (12) months following confirmation as the winner.

The trip must be completed no later than October 31, 2029.

Travel dates are subject to the availability of the villa and the services included in the prize and must be confirmed in advance by La Belle Excuse.

La Belle Excuse will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the winner’s preferred dates but cannot guarantee any specific date.

Once the travel dates have been confirmed with La Belle Excuse, the winner must book their airline tickets through Agence Nouveau Monde de Joliette.

The winner will be responsible for communicating directly with the agency to complete the booking and for paying any amount exceeding the maximum CAD $5,000 travel credit.

Once the travel dates have been confirmed and the reservations have been made, any request for changes will be subject to availability. Any additional costs resulting from changes requested by the winner will be their responsibility.

7. Travel Documents and Requirements

The winner, their guest and, where applicable, any additional guests are solely responsible for ensuring that they have all documents required to travel and enter Greece, including a valid passport and any visa, permit or authorization that may be required at the time of travel.

They are also responsible for verifying and complying with all applicable immigration, customs, health and safety requirements.

The Organizer will not be held responsible if the winner, their guest or any additional guest is denied boarding, entry into the country or any other stage of the trip due to missing, expired or non-compliant documents.

8. Prize Conditions

The prize must be accepted as described in these Official Rules.

It may not be sold, transferred or assigned to another person, nor exchanged for cash, in whole or in part.

The travel credit with Agence Nouveau Monde de Joliette also has no cash value and must be used in accordance with the conditions set out in these Official Rules and the agency’s applicable terms and conditions.

If the winner chooses to travel with fewer than six (6) people, no compensation will be provided for unused villa capacity or any unused experience.

The winner may not claim the difference between the advertised approximate value of the prize and its actual value.

The Organizer reserves the right, if circumstances beyond its control require it, to substitute any component of the prize with another component of equal or greater value.

If an experience or activity included in the trip becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Organizer’s control, the Organizer may, where reasonably possible, replace it with a comparable experience.

9. Draw

One (1) random draw will be held on February 1, 2027, from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

One (1) entrant will be randomly selected from among all eligible entries.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

10. Selection and Confirmation of the Winner

The selected entrant will be contacted using the contact information provided on their entry form.

To be officially declared the winner, the selected entrant must:

  • meet all eligibility requirements set out in these Official Rules;

  • respond to the Organizer’s communication within seven (7) calendar days following the first attempted contact;

  • correctly answer, without assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Organizer;

  • sign and return any declaration, eligibility and liability release forms requested by the Organizer;

  • accept the prize as awarded.

The winner’s guest and, where applicable, any additional guests may also be required to sign a declaration and liability release before the trip.

If the selected entrant cannot be reached within the specified period, fails to correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, refuses the prize or fails to comply with any condition of these Official Rules, they may be disqualified.

In such a case, the Organizer may conduct another random draw from among the remaining eligible entries.

11. Use of the Winner’s Name and Image

By accepting the prize and to the extent permitted by law, the winner authorizes La Belle Excuse to use their first name, last name, city of residence, photograph and likeness for the purpose of announcing the Contest results and promoting the Contest, without additional compensation.

Any additional use of photographs, videos or content created during the trip may be subject to separate authorization, where required.

12. Personal Information

Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used for the administration of the Contest, including receiving and validating entries, communicating with the selected entrant and confirming their eligibility.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with La Belle Excuse’s privacy policy and applicable laws.

Any use of personal information for commercial or marketing communications will be subject to applicable consent requirements.

13. Limitation of Liability

The Organizer, its employees, representatives, agents, partners and suppliers will not be held responsible for entries that are lost, incomplete, misdirected or received late due to a technical issue or circumstances beyond their reasonable control.

They will not be held responsible for, among other things, website interruptions, Internet failures, computer issues or any other technical circumstances that may prevent or delay an entry.

The Organizer may use independent suppliers in connection with the trip, including Agence Nouveau Monde de Joliette, air carriers, restaurants and activity providers.

To the extent permitted by law, the Organizer will not be held responsible for the acts or omissions of such suppliers or for delays, cancellations, interruptions or changes to services that are beyond its control.

14. Modification, Suspension or Cancellation of the Contest

If, for reasons beyond its control, the Contest cannot proceed as planned, including due to a technical failure, fraud, unauthorized intervention or any other circumstances that compromise the integrity or proper administration of the Contest, the Organizer reserves the right, subject to applicable laws, to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest.

The Organizer also reserves the right to disqualify any person who attempts to circumvent these Official Rules, manipulate the entry process or compromise the integrity of the Contest.
