This Belle Excuse is from a variety of black olives called Mavrolia. At the end of October, as soon as they ripen, the olives are harvested and pressed the same day.
These exceptional olives grown in beautiful Trifilia, area blessed by its climate and the richness of its soil, have a very distinctive flavor and an acidity level inferior to 0.3%.
For 2 months, this unfiltered olive oil is left to decant naturally resulting in oil with no residues rendering it perfect for cooking. LA BELLE EXCUSE is proud to offer this very unique extra virgin black olive oil.

I love this oil it gas been my oil for many years. I think since your first years in Québec Its good in salads & cooking. I converted most of my freins to your products too.

I like the format (10L) because I can make it my "daily user" and just refill my 500ml bottle. The oil is very good, but very mild. I prefer a more robust flavour.

You might also love Agorelio - it’s made from olives harvested about six weeks before full maturity, which gives it a bolder, more intense flavour with higher aromatic complexity.
